Barrel fermentations, lees stirring and oak aging produce fruit driven wines capable of longer term cellaring.
Made from a mix of Bordeaux varietals and Chambourcin (a rare French hybrid variety), our Black Reef Blush is a Hawke’s Bay classic. A perfect mix of fresh berry fruit flavours with savoury notes adding weight and interest.
Suited for earlier drinking our range of full flavoured, fruit driven red wines are oak aged and ready to drink now.
Our Bordeaux inspired blends and Reserve Syrah are big, bold and complex. Great wines start in the vineyard with super ripe fruit. The wines gain complexity through extended skin maceration and aging in French oak, attaining good tannic structure with the aim of maintaining the wines’ varietal characters.
Our dessert range includes our ever popular Sea Red which is a classic meal finisher. In the best vintages we’ll also produce a Late Harvest Chardonnay which is a rarity in New Zealand.
