New Art Exhibition - Mary Francis & Nola Webber

We have the following artists exhibiting at Clearview Estate Winery & Restaurant from the 3^rd of May until the 4^th of July 2013.

Nola Webber

Nola is a well-known artist and tutor in Hawkes Bay having contributed in numerous exhibitions.

Nola’s preferred medium is oils. With oils, Nola feels she can create the depth and textures suited to her floral themes.

“The flower represents to me the design of life; from seed, stem, bud and blossom; then returning to earth to begin a new cycle.”

This exhibition at Clearview Estate Winery & Restaurant is a mix of landscape, still life and her favourite subject the flower.

Mary Francis

Mary has been painting for 15 years. She has always been very creative, with a natural love for colour and design.

It wasn’t until after the death of her husband that Mary started to dabble with paint. Starting with Folk Art and acrylics it wasn’t long before she moved onto landscapes, country scenes, animals and old buildings using oils.

She now works solely in oil and aspires to capture the very essence of her subjects.

She has a fascination with interesting skies and cloud formations. Always striving to catch the mood these scenes inspire.

Mary has sold may of her works in exhibitions and galleries throughout the north island.

Horse of the Year 2013

Here at Clearview we are proud to be continuing our sponsorship of Horse of the Year in 2013. This is now the third year we have supported Horse of the Year. Hawke's Bay's newly rebranded major regional exhibition is here! Clearview Estate is proud to be continuing our association with Hastings City Art Gallery by sponsoring the inaugural EAST Exhibition.

EAST 2012 presents new work from 36 artists who either live in Hawkes’ Bay, or have significant links to the region. Painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and mixed media work will all feature in the show, which is open to the public from October 27th until January 13th.

Clearview Estate will be participating in the upcoming F.A.W.C. events.

Our event is called Blend, Beach & Banquet and will involve a fun & informative blending workshop with our winemakers, followed by a clambake entree on the beach and rounded out by a Mediterranean inspired banquet in our olive grove. It will be an "out of the box" experience not to be missed!

Markhams Young Viticulturist of the Year

Clearview Estate is proud to support our viticultural trainee Luke Cornwall who is participating in Hawkes Bay's 2012 Markhams Young Viticulturist of the Year.

The event takes place at Mission Estate on Friday 22^nd June and comprises a number of components testing vineyard knowledge and skills. The day is topped off by contestants' speeches, a wine options session and a prize giving dinner in the Chapel Room of Mission Estate.

Hawke's Bay Wine Growers' Charity Wine Auction

Since its inception 21 years ago, the Hawke's Bay Winegrowers Charity Wine Auction has raised more than $2 million for Hawke's Bay's Cranford Hospice.

Clearview Estate is proud to once again be part of this iconic event and is donating a lot of our hand crafted wine for the auction. This year's event will be on Queen's Birthday weekend, Saturday, 2 June 2012, 2.30 - 7.00pm at Sileni Estates, Maraekakho Road, Hastings.
